Who Are We? We're a group of individuals based in or near Palo Alto, CA, dedicated to serving the community by enabling and advocating biodiesel use.
What Is Biodiesel? Biodiesel is a clean, renewable fuel often made from waste vegetable oil that would have otherwise gone into landfills. It can be used in most diesel engines without any modification, including large fleets of garbage trucks, school buses, and big rigs. The fuel is nontoxic, biodegradable, safe enough to eat.

Working out logistics
I'm currently exchanging emails with Yokayo biofuels and Acterra (as well as with a few other local biodiesel activists) to get as much info as possible as to logistics and cost, so we can make decisions about how to procede in our first meeting.
our first meeting
Oh yeah, we should have one. Send an email to Mitch if you're interested in coming to the first meeting, and we can all work out a time and place.

Gaining momentum
After a few posts on paloaltobiodiesel yahoo group, it seems like support is high for a local co-op. I emailed Lindsay (Betty Biodiesel) and she has some suggestions for getting started, which I will post a little later. I also emailed Acterra to see their level of interest.
