Who Are We? We're a group of individuals based in or near Palo Alto, CA, dedicated to serving the community by enabling and advocating biodiesel use.
What Is Biodiesel? Biodiesel is a clean, renewable fuel often made from waste vegetable oil that would have otherwise gone into landfills. It can be used in most diesel engines without any modification, including large fleets of garbage trucks, school buses, and big rigs. The fuel is nontoxic, biodegradable, safe enough to eat.

First Meeting
The first meeting was attended by Mitch, Forest, Jason, Nancy, Sailesh, Dillon, Foster, Nick, Brian, and David (please let me know if I missed someone). We discussed different strategies for bulk buy, production, teaming with local government and the university, and shared some basic (and not so basic) info about the technology. Many thanks to everyone who attended. It appears that we have critical mass and can begin to execute as soon as we have gathered a little more information (especially about storage sites, cooperation with the city, local business, and with the univeristy). I added a link on the right to our preferred forum of communication, the yahoo group.
